Physiotherapy is a Health Profession a Clinical specialty, Aims and improves the quality of global health-care.
The Indian Association of Physiotherapists and the Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Act., 1997 has given the following definition:-
“Physiotherapy means physiotherapists system of medicine which includes examination treatment, advice and instruction to any person preparatory to or of the purpose of or in connection with movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction, physical disorder, disability, healing and pain from trauma and disease, physical and mental conditions using physical agents including exercises, mobilization, manipulation mechanical and electrotherapy, actives and devices for diagnosis treatment and prevention”.
